Food Security and Sustainability

Cows feeding – Quthing

SOS Children’s Village Quthing through its agricultural projects aims to accomplish food sufficiency where it will reduce spending on food. This comes after the global challenges that sees rise in food prices and shortage. Therefore, the village currently has a field of wheat, which will be ready for harvest in December, poultry, milk and vegetable production. “These projects are not only meant for children under SOS care, but it is also meant to provide a nearby community with food at affordable prices”, says Programme Location Manager –  Makarabelo Mokhemisa.
